Why is drinking a lot of water usually a part of slimming diets?



Drinking water has several great benefits. First off, water is one of the healthiest things we can add to our diet. Water does not provide extra empty calories like soft drinks or juices. Water also can allow you to eat less, and still get the same full filling. A glass or two before meal can help curb appetites that are too large.

Water is also a natural flushing agent for our body. Many toxins and harmful chemicals in our cells get washed out as our water intake increases.

There is such a thing as too much water, although two liters a day comes no where close to this mark. Death by over hydration is possible, but this is only with massive quantities of water.Personally, I feel much healthier when my water intake goes up. I have more energy, and I just feel better.
